The Temporary Districting Advisory Commission has announced they will hold public hearings on several dates and locations starting from August 31st and ending on October 3rd. According to Nassau County, the county has "created an independent redistricting commission. The commission would be tasked with drawing new legislative district lines in a manner that promotes equal representation and protects the sanctity of residents' voting rights, irrespective of race, ethnicity, and religion."
The meetings will allow the public to address the legislature and the committee about this issue. See below for dates, times, and locations.
